- Bottom Cable is 42 ft. Galvanized 1/8" with a clear plastic coating (Also available as High Strength Kevlar Rope or Stainless Steel) (We strongly recommend Kevlar Cords as they are as strong on steel cables, don't have sharp points that can cause injuries with handling and don't rust)

- Steel cable nets take around 20-30 minutes the first time to set up. Kevlar cord nets take around 5 minutes. Kevlar cord nets roll up and unroll much easier than steel cable nets as the steel cables and cable clamps tend to get caught in the netting more often. If you are worried about your net getting cut down and stolen we recommend steel cables but if you want convenience and less headaches we recommend Kevlar cords.
- Kevlar cord nets are preferred by the AVP Pro Beach Tour, college and high school programs, the Olympic games and most California, Florida and Hawaii beach towns.
What sets the VBUSA Pro Beach Power Net Apart?
CABLE
Our PBN4 is available with three options for top cables: 3/16" galvanized steel, 3/16" stainless steel, or 1/4" Kevlar cords. Both the galvanized steel and stainless-steel cables provide exceptional strength with a 4,200 lb. break point at the top, making them resistant to cutting by knives or scissors, and therefore more theft-resistant. The bottom galvanized steel cable has a 2,000 lb. break point. When our nets are equipped with stainless steel cables at both the top and bottom, each cable has a 3/16" diameter and a 4,200 lb. break point.
The 1/4" diameter Kevlar cord is the preferred choice for most professional tours, collegiate programs, and the Olympic Games. It features a UV-resistant polyester jacket that protects the robust Kevlar core. Kevlar cords are exceptionally soft, similar to shoelaces, and are safer to handle without any sharp ends. They are highly stretch-resistant and perform like steel cables, while being easier to manage and tie knots with, if necessary. Kevlar cords have a 3,000 lb. break point on both the top and bottom lines. Additional advantages of Kevlar include its resistance to rust and the fact that no tools are needed to set up your net for the first time, unlike galvanized steel or stainless steel cable nets.
VINYL
The PBN4 boasts an 18oz reinforced vinyl fabric, known for its exceptional strength and durability. This vinyl is highly tear-resistant, meaning even if your volleyball net is dragged across a parking lot, any hole that may form won't expand.
Beyond its impressive tear resistance, our vinyl is enhanced with UV inhibitors to significantly slow the fading process, ensuring it remains vibrant for years, even when left outdoors. Additionally, the vinyl is easy to clean using marine vinyl cleaners and a gentle pressure wash.
NETTING/STITCH
Our PBN4 features a 360 lb. break point and UV-resistant #36 American-made 4’’ square netting. This durable netting can withstand accidental pulls and even moments of frustration, maintaining its appearance. The strength of the netting and cables ultimately relies on the smallest yet most crucial part of the volleyball net: the stitching. Often overlooked, this component is vital. If the netting tears away from the vinyl due to weak stitching, your net is compromised, regardless of the strength of the cables or vinyl.
Stitching is usually the first to fail before the netting or vinyl. If it isn't robust, you'll frequently need to repair or replace your net. United Volleyball Supply puts unparalleled effort into using exceptionally strong stitching for our volleyball nets. We use the largest polyester stitch possible, fed through our double needle, lock stitch sewing machines, which may slow production but results in the longest-lasting volleyball nets. For even greater durability, you can upgrade to our United stitch, made with bulletproof vest material, which is approximately three times stronger than our polyester stitch.
